Kay's classes, with their combination of yoga, birth preparation, discussion and information, aim to encourage, support and empower pregnant women to gain confidence in their bodies, their ability to have an active birth and also care for their baby in their own most natural and instinctive way.
Nothing can guarantee a straightforward birth, but attendance at Yoga classes through pregnancy, with regular practice at home, will help you to stay fit and learn techniques for labour and birth.
Yoga practise through pregnancy works to improve the body’s alignment which in turn can reduce tension, release energy, increase strength and prevent or relieve many of the discomforts that often accompany pregnancy.
Previous experience of yoga is not necessary and this type of yoga, inspired by Vanda Scaravelli will not present any difficulty to beginners.
