Shiatsu for pregnancy and labour with Jacqueline Mangold

E-mail Print

I have successfully been using shiatsu alongside acupuncture for the treatment of pregnancy related syptoms and birth preparation. Receiving shiatsu massage is a deeply relaxing experience, which promotes stress relief and supports the para-sympathetic nervous system. It is a perfect adjunct to acupuncture, but can also be used on its own. It is particularly helpful for musculo-skeletal problems and stress relief.

In late pregnancy, shiatsu and acupressure techniques can be taught to women and their birth partners for labour preparation and help during labour. Partner sessions can be done in groups or one-to-one. You will find information on the group events in the Workshops section of this website.
